Peeled

Peel back the words.

One puzzle a day

An encyclopedia paragraph with most of its words blacked out. You get seven reveals. Work out what it is about.

Every day brings a new paragraph about one thing: a city, a creature, an idea. Plain words stay put; the rest sit under black strips. Tap a strip and it lifts. Type the answer into the letter tiles at the top, as many guesses as you like.

Hover or tap the black strips above to peel them.

How a day works

  1. Read what is left. The visible words are the scaffolding: dates, verbs, the shape of a sentence.
  2. Peel up to seven words. You choose which ones, never the game. Nothing is random.
  3. Earn hints. Every two reveals uncovers one letter of the answer, and you pick the letter.
  4. Name it. Unlimited guesses, no penalty. Then keep the streak going tomorrow.

What it looks like

The Peeled how-to-play screen: three panels explaining reveals, hints and guessing, above a large PLAY button.
The rules, in three panels
The Peeled archive: a month calendar where each day shows its puzzle number and whether it was peeled, missed, open or locked.
Every day since launch
